Remove Wasps in Phoenix Arizona

Why Wasp removal?

Wasps are the type of insect that are very interesting.  They aren’t as fun and interesting as bees in the way that we watch them produce honey; however, they tend to be a little nicer in the way that they don’t go looking to sting people.  With their defense mechanism they will sting people, and unlike bees, they also have the ability to sting multiple times.

Multiple stings

Wasp stings hurt like bee stings, last about 2 minutes in duration; however, they tend to not swell up as much as bee stings in most people.  One way to tell if you will have a problem with wasps is to look for their place of origin like bees.

Where wasps live

Wasps tend to live in similar places to bees; however, they don’t build as much of a colony as bees.  A typical wasp hive will be about the size of a softball.  The diameter of the wasp hive can reach the size of a small beach ball/ large basketball.  They only build up to about 2000 wasps and larva. Usually they will be found near the doorway, or in brush and small bushes.  Compared to bees the hive is much smaller.

The wasp hive

The hive has small holes where the baby wasps emerge after being born.  When very small, these hives will look like mud blobs on the wall or ceiling.  They aren’t the very small mud blobs the size of an eraser head, but about the size of a baseball.  You will typically find 4-5 wasps around the wasp hive.  This is also the place where you are very likely to be stung.  Remember it feels and looks like a bee sting but the wasps can sting multiple times.
